All The Way To The Top

Hello fellow Homo Sapiens! Today was an incredibly full day! My legs are dead, I am dead exhausted but I had a blast! We hiked over four miles today and the view was spectacular. Please, sit back, watch (read), and enjoy my many hiking stories in the hot state of Utah.

So this morning I was roused from my bed at an unearthly hour. 6:00 AM PEOPLE!!!! I think my parents had it out for me. But anyway, we started towards Zion National Park and the rocks that were ready for us to climb. Our first stop was to prepare for what was to come and warm up the ole legs. Zane and I scaled some rocks and our parents freaked, naturally, until they saw how semi-safe it was! We hopped back in the car after climbing for a bit and drove to the trail for a canyon overlook. The trail itself was winding and rocky and so much fun! I took a ton of pictures and I even took some that would be worthy to be called senior pictures. When we got to the lookout point, it was an absolutely beautiful sight. The mountains formed a fortress around the outlook and it was breathtaking. A nice lady took our family's picture and her husband was clutch and jumped up on a rock to get a better angle. On the way back down, two guys behind me and dad were HILARIOUS and kept making me laugh. They were just chatting between themselves and I couldn't help but listen. When we got to the bottom, we joined a long procession of cars going in a massive tunnel through a mountain. In the words of one of my friends, it was epic.

After we emerged from the tunnel, the view that met us was breathtaking. Even more mountains formed walls and it literally looked like something straight out of Cars. We parked our RV at a visitor's center and, naturally, I bought a shirt and sticker. Then we went on a 3.15 mile roundtrip hike up the side of a mountain. Guys I died about halfway but it's okay because I made it back down. At the top, we took an extra loop that popped us out at the tippy top of the mountain. That was also a breathtaking sight. I think the word that describes our trip was breathtaking. Before we went on our hike, I was standing in line for the bathroom and a nice lady complimented my hair clip. She then proceeded to show me her bracelet she got at the Grand Canyon. It was very fun talking to her while I waited, she was so sweet. My legs feel dead after a long day of hiking but it was so worth it.

Thank you for joining me in my many adventures today! I will have more for you guys tomorrow because VEGAS HERE I COMEEE!!! Sorry, I had to. I know you all will enjoy my stories tho! I will catch you guys next time with more meanderings!
