Me and Mr. Lombardi |
Hello my fellow Homo Sapiens! It's already time for my second post! It feels like I wrote the first one just yesterday....wait, guys it was just yesterday. We are on our way from the good ole state of Wisconsin to I have no clue where. I realize now that the nickname for Wisconsin people, a cheesehead, is so accurate. And the people embrace it. There was cheese themed stuff everywhere. And lemme tell you, it was TORTURE for someone who can't have dairy. I see cheese stuff and think "ooo that would be yummy" but then I remember the stomach pains I would have to endure in the future....I guess some things wouldn't be worth it. But guys it was cheese....
Anyway! Enough about cheese, The highlight of the day yesterday by far was visiting Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers. Although I am not a Packers fan (GO NEW ORLEANS SAINTS!!), I felt the need to be supportive for the Packers. The only reason I felt that was because my sister, Lydia, is a Packers fan. So I put on a smile for Lydia. I read some fascinating plaques about Mr. Lambeau and Mr. Lombardi. Both were very accomplished gentlemen. I, naturally, posed next to the statue of Mr. Lombardi but sadly I did not pose next to Mr. Lambeau. I did get to roll around on some turf, which was SO MUCH FUN. Who doesn't love rolling around on the ground for no reason (if anyone present doesn't love that, the door is over there)? As I write this I realize two things: (a) the song I'm listening to is making me want to cry and (b) Wisconsin is beautiful. I glance out my window and the scenery is gorgeous. Granted the cheese everything is a damper on my fun but the weather, the scenery, heck the people (I'm kidding, although the people I've met are all really nice), all of it is so gorgeous!

Me showing my support for Lydia |
When we got to our campground last night, we explored and hark! there was a playground! Before you ask, YES, of course Zane and I played on the playground and slid down the fireman's pole. We explored on some rocks and pretended to be Spiderman, jumping from rock to rock. We were so cool (not). But it was still a lot of fun. The waterfall at the rocks was so breathtaking, Zane and I enjoyed our supper sitting on the rocks, looking at the waterfall. During a second exploration of the campground with my family, I found a dog buried next to a fire hydrant (it was a statue, don't worry all those dog lovers out there). Zane also found Sasquatch and hid behind a tree from the giant hairy thing. He made it safely away, I know some of you were worried. After our exhilarating exploration, we settled down for a long winter's nap (actually just a movie and then sleep). Zane and I enjoyed two movies and both slept awfully but when we woke up, we both looked at each other with groggy eyes and hoped the next night would be better. I have a feeling our hopes will be in vain. Neither of us fit on our beds. I use the term bed loosely, mine is the couch and Zane's is a chair.
Our adventures have just merely started. Thank you all for your support towards me just starting out! You all are so so so amazing! I hope my meanderings continue to bring you all joy and laughter. Catch you all tomorrow with more meanderings!
