Crashing the Church Party
Hello my fellow Homo Sapiens!! Day four has come and gone. ITS ALMOST BEEN A WEEK!!!! I’M KINDA FREAKING OUT. I’m kidding, but it is crazy that it has already been four days. It feels like it has been a week and a half though. Today, sickness wise, was much better but granted, we didn’t drive as much today. A couple things I can’t wait to tell you guys is my shopping spree (by shopping spree I mean I bought three things), more delicious food, AND our first church visit!!
Okay, first things first, Minnesota is still the state that holds my family and I. I still find it beautiful but the people are kind of eerily nice. Is it possible to be too nice? …..nahhh cause I’ve been told I’m nice (whoever has said that to me….I disagree. I’m a meanie head, just ask my best friend). Anyway, the people are really nice, I’m just being weird about it. I promised to retell my shopping spree and GUYS I found such cool pants!!! They are tie dye! “Ewww tie dye? Are you a hippie Micah?” Whoever asked that, because I know someone at least thought it, no, I am not a hippie. I’m just too cool for you. But yes, they are tie dye and it says Road Trip on the pant leg. I thought that was pretty ironic. I also bought a ring for my pointer finger on my left hand. It suits with my purity ring which is on the same hand. Lastly, I bought a sticker for my computer case, I have quite the collection coming together. That is my short and sweet shopping spree!! We also go to see a pretty cool lighthouse on Lake Superior. It was looking pretty inferior next to Lake Superior.
Next up, I promised more good food. It wasn’t the love of my life like the dairy free cheesecake but it was still very yummy. I got a Chicken Mole Bowl at uhhhh I can’t remember the name of the restaurant. Dang it, some free advertising and I failed them. It was spicy though! Garret, my dad’s co-worker, he would’ve thought there was no heat but my poor tongue was on FIRE. I WAS A DRAGON, BREATHING FIRE!!! My mom ate my leftovers later, for supper I think. My supper was yummy teriyaki noodles. I wanted more but my bowl wasn’t magical and when I closed my eyes, it wasn’t refilled. But those were my yummy foods for the day!
At last we have made it. The whole reason we are doing this trip. A church visit. A lovely little church called Cloverdale Mennonite Church in Nashwauk, Minnesota. I know I know, the town sounds like a sneeze but when someone says it, just go with the safe reply of ‘Gesundheit”. I’m kidding, the town is very nice and the people attending the church were all super nice and friendly. We met a lovely lady who actually knows my brother-in-law. The talk my dad gave at the church went very well! I mean, I had a ton of it memorized but that’s just because I’ve been his helper A LOT. I can proudly say, the first visit to a church went great!
Wow we are already at the end of the post. This day was way more successful than the previous day but still equally as unique. Thank you all for your support! Catch you guys all next time with more meanderings!
