Da Salt Mines
Hello fellow Homo Sapiens! Today was unusually salty. It was a good salty and guys I got to go to a bookstore! I got three books for super cheap too! And I got a little too much coffee today. Overall it was a great day if I'm being honest. Please, enjoy.
Okay first up, why was today salty? I know all of you are wondering. Well here's why, I went to a salt mine. Gaspppp. I wasn't allowed to lick the walls which makes sense but also is a little sad. We went on this elevator 650 feet underground. The elevator ride was a bit sketchy in my opinion but that's because it was pitch black at one point in time. When we got to the bottom it was a giant cavern of mazes with plaques and giant rocks to look at and feel. It was so fascinating seeing all the artifacts and reading the history but by far my favorite was the area that held the movie props. I LOVE movies so to see the movie posters and props was so cool! We went on two different train tours and the second one was much longer. The tour guide on the second one was HILARIOUS. He joked around so much but gave so much information as well. All in all the salt mine was very cool and I enjoyed it immensely!
After the salt mines, my family drove into the small town and we went to a bookstore! I LOVE BOOKS! We also went to a coffee shop and got some coffee but first, books! So the bookstore was mentioned by a friend of my family, Merlin, and of course we stopped by. The books were so cheap! Like I got three books for twenty bucks! Heck I go to the Book Loft and three books is fifty dollars. So, I might've done a happy dance when I found the three books. I got the Diary of Anne Frank, A Daring Sacrifice by Jody Hedlund, and The House at Saltwater Point by Colleen Coble. I am so excited to read all threeeee!! Then we went to the coffee shop and I got more caffeine! Probably a bad idea but I had more homework to do so it's fine!
