Driving, Driving, More Driving
Hello fellow Homo Sapiens! Today was contradicting. One part was long and full of driving and then we had a section of fun and exploration and then we went back to driving. I'm gonna be completely honest with everyone, I have no clue where the heck I am. I think maybe Texas? Anyway! I'm going to write about my brother....without his permission....I know I'm a rebel.
So this morning, my parents left at like seven am, I think they were out to get me, again. But I slept til nine while they drove. When I woke up, Zane talked my ear off! When people meet us, it always appears that I'm the talker and Zane is quiet. Well that was not this morning. The two of us also get asked if we are a couple or twins. People never just think we are siblings. AND to top it all off, they always think he's older just cause he's taller. But anyway! He was very chatty this morning when I woke up. He described it as he was talking and I was just saying "uh-huh, hmmm, m-hmm" but I digress. He and I talked about underrated super hero powers, which honestly was a lot of fun. Eventually what he was saying started to ummmm mush together and I honestly couldn't tell you what he kept talking about. Today Zane and I found out something CRAZY!! (Everyone know, I AM ABSOLUTELY KIDDING AND DO NOT TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY). So today, I asked my parents to get me a hoodie since I didn't want to spend more money and my dad said "happy birthday" when he bought it because my birthday is in five days. Well Zane popped up with a little figure of a bear and dad said "yeah you can get it. Happy birthday". Zane and I then came to the epiphany that WE REALLY ARE TWINS!!! We also suspected it because we've always looked alike and been close. The truth comes out. Okay, but seriously Zane and I aren't twins. The proof is in a newspaper that wrote an article about the babies born on January 1st and Zane is within that article. But it was fun to joke around that we really are twins.
So about the place that I got the hoodie. We stopped at a place called Old Town Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was this old part of the town that had lots of shops and restaurants and things like that. The buildings were old adobe walls which was cool! We visited lots of shops but honestly, a lot of it was expensive because it was authentically made. One of the highlights was the restaurant we had a late lunch at, I personally like calling it linner or lupper, but the restaurant had a tree growing in it. We ate next to the tree so that was pretty exciting. Something else that was exciting and crazy was the fact that my Grandma McGill had first visited this exact same restaurant and town just back in 1957. She was texting my mom while we were there, telling us which spots we should go to and whatnot. OH! Something else we did was, we stopped at an ice cream parlor and they had mango sorbet. Which is probably my favorite sorbet. I had it in a cone. I know what you guys are thinking "Micah, ewww, why in a cone???". Don't knock it til you try it, is what I say. It's really good, I don't swear so I promise.
Okay so that brings us to the end part of the day. We drove like four hours maybe? I don't know. The hours smash together. Zane and I watched A.C.O.R.N.S. Operation Crackdown on my phone while we drove, which is a hilarious movie. The animation is a little rough but my siblings and I loved that movie when we were younger. But anyway! I think that is all I have for tonight! I will catch you guys next time with more meanderings!
