My Feet Hurt
Hello fellow Homo Sapiens! Today was an eventful and EXHAUSTING!! I woke up pretty late but that felt amazing. I contemplated doing school in the morning but my laziness won out. Instead, like any normal teen girl, I sat on Pinterest watching food videos and fantasizing about eating dairy foods. Eventually I stopped but I mean who wouldn't fantasize about food?
After my fantastic time dreaming about food, I ate lunch and my family set off on our first adventure, a tour of the Mark Twain Cave. It was very interesting and cold. I loved seeing the cave's walkways but, to be honest, the dark has always scared me. "Micah you turn seventeen soon. Why are you scared of the dark?" Well whoever asked me that, I've never liked the dark and probably never will. I'm not ashamed either. But anyway, the caves were very interesting and we saw where the bats used to hibernate. It looked like an alien was popping through the ceiling. We also were told part of the story of the Adventures of Tom Sawyer. The caves were a big part of Mark Twain's childhood and he put them in a lot of his books. Rick-Jerry also joined us in the cave, as pictured in well, the picture. After the tour, we shopped in the gift shop and naturally, I got a shirt. Guys, why do I enjoy shopping so much??? I never did before but now suddenly I love shopping.
After the cave adventures, I'm pretty sure my mother was out to kill me. She had us hike up a steep incline to see a place called Lover's Leap. Guys, I promise I think a little bit of me died then and there. It was so steep!! After that, we went on an excursion to find a coffee shop which we did in fact end up finding. After that we walked around for a little bit and Zane and I got little leaping frogs. I giggled like a schoolgirl when I found them. We also walked up 244 steps to see a lighthouse. I also died a little then. Stairs murder me, no matter how in shape I am. The total amount of walking we did today you may be asking? Six miles. Now you understand the title.
So as you can all tell, I had an exciting day. but it all ended with, guess what, more school. But it was successful and Zane and I finished not really that quickly. I finish out the day writing my blog. I hope you all enjoy my wandering thoughts today! Catch you all next time with more meanderings!
Loved reading, as always. Keep up the great work!!
