Only Three Days Left!

Hello fellow Homo Sapiens! I know I am being repetitive in my introductions but honestly, today was boring. Again. We drove like seven hours? Maybe eight? My point is, we drove a ton today. Today did include something though. You know that feeling when you look up at something really tall and it feels like it’s gonna come crashing down onto you? You do? Great. Today included that feeling.

So before we drove the seven or eight hours to wherever we are in Illinois, we stopped at a GIANT cross. So this is when that feeling comes in, I stood up next to the cross and it got wobbly and looked like it would fall on me! That feeling always makes me almost dizzy. But anyway, so the cool thing about this cross is that there were paths that directed you to other monuments. The other monuments walked you through the redemption of Christ and then also the death and Resurrection of Christ. It was really cool and my favorite section was a section where you have a piece of chalk and there were two cement crosses that you can write on. You could write a sin or burden you had been carrying or a prayer request or a praise. It was really cool to see that people had written on the Christ. After this section was the section talking about the death of Jesus. It had plaques talking about the thieves as well. The whole thing was set up very well for like a prayer walk. I think it would be a great place to also go to with your youth group. Just a place of worship. This picture below, is not the big cross but a cross they had in one of the sections.

After we left the giant Cross. We had a seven hour drive. Exactly seven hours. It didn’t feel like seven hours if I’m being completely honest. Then again, I did fall asleep for an hour and half. But even after I woke up, we only had like three hours left. Naturally I watched a movie and then I chilled in the front with my dad, reading a good book. I love me a good book. We stopped at a Walmart briefly to pick up some groceries and there was a Subway in the Walmart so guess what we got for supper??? Any guesses? You with the red shirt? CORRECT! Subway!! I really hope one of you have a red shirt on or else I’m just talking to myself and going crazy. Well….we already knew I was going crazy. Anyway, we got back on the road for about an hour after Walmart and then stopped for the night. I think we are still in Illinois though. I honestly cannot tell anymore. It feels like I was just in Phoenix. I think it’s because I was. But who knows. ALSO, my sister’s birthday is tomorrow and I don’t think she’s readng my blog but those of you who know my sister, IT’S HER BIRTHDAY TOMORROW!! Those of you who don’t know my sister, IT’S HER BIRTHDAY TOMORROW!! She’s gonna be so old. I remember when we were both younger and loved to just watch the water come out of the facet. That makes us sound weird but it’s a true story. Anyway, my point is, I’ll probably make a bigger deal about her tomorrow in my post.

Once again, we come to the end and I’m shocked that I’ve continued to find things to entertain you all with, despite having a boring day. It really comes in handy, my ability to talk to a wall I mean. I will catch you guys next time with more meanderings!
