Second Church Party
Hello fellow Homo Sapiens! Well well well, we made it to a new church. A lovely church in the middle of Nebraska called East Fairview Mennonite. Sunday was eventful and not eventful in the same way. Please, enjoy my retelling of our church visit!
The previous night I had been up late doing school so Sunday morning I struggled to drag myself out of bed BUT eventually I did. I got myself all cute (who am I kidding, I’m always cute) and I readied myself for another church visit! I helped my dad set up his RI table with my usual speediness. And I sat myself down to listen to my dad’s usual talk. Once again, I’m pretty sure I could have given part of his talk about Rosedale International merely because ITS INGRAINED IN MY HEAD. But I enjoyed it just as I usually do! Everyone else seemed to have enjoyed it as well. After worship, my dad then gave the sermon and that was new to me so I listened with rapt attention (guys I lie, my brain has to be kept on a leash! It wanders so much!). But I listened to the best of my ability. The people at the church were so friendly and nice! I do have to say I won a staring contest with a little boy in the pew ahead of me. He was staring right at me (he was probably like five guys) and I stared right on back….he looked away first so hah! In your face! Sorry that was competitive of me.
After the church service, a meal was provided for my family and I think it was the elders or maybe the board. I don’t know, but people were there and they ate with my family. Zane and I seemed to intimidate the other teens because they didn’t sit with us….maybe it was Zane’s height. He is kind of intimidating….little do they know he’s such a softieee! But anyway, the food was delicious and the ladies who cooked did such a fantastic job on finding and making me dairy free food. I was so thankful for all that they cooked for me. Roxie, again, for the win also made delicious food. I was just very overwhelmed by how much these ladies looked out for me and made sure I got food. I always feel like I’m imposing whenever we visit somewhere and people find out that I’m dairy free. But it was impossible to feel like I was imposing when they made a whole tray of food for me!! Sorry that was a Serious Micah Moment we just had and I gave no warning!

The sunset at our campground |
Sunday evening lands my family back in Iowa. We backtracked for some reason. But once again we, Zane and I, did school at night. We had baked potatoes for supper and guys, the bathrooms at our campground were SO NICE. They were super fancy and by far the best ones we've come across. Once again I would just like to thank all of the families who provided for my family while we were in Nebraska. You all were so so so nice. Catch you guys next time with more meanderings!!
