We Are Nearing The End
Hello fellow Homo Sapiens! Today was not very exciting if I'm being honest. I'll find something to entertain you guys with but I'm not sure what it will be quite yet. I did forget to mention something that happened yesterday. When we were hiking down into the Grand Canyon, Zane and I were speedy and were walking past a lady. The lady then proceeded to fall flat on her butt. I thought Zane had shoved her. But after checking to see if she was alright, she said she was trying to go to the side so Zane and I could pass and she slipped and fell. The good news? Zane didn't shove her.
So today is Sunday....I think. The days are blurring together. I kid, I know it's Sunday because we visited a church. This is the third to last church. I can't believe there's only a week left. But I'm so excited at the same time! I miss my BED! And my youth group! But, let's be honest, mostly just my bed. I'm also excited for the fact that I can do school normally again. But sadly I also have to find a steady job. My once a month race job does not count. Anyway! Back to the church! When we got there, naturally I started setting up the table with Mom and Zane while Padre talked with some people. An elderly lady came up to me and had questions about prayer cards and naturally I answered to the best of my ability. Which was just what she needed apparently. I then helped her switch out old prayer cards and provide updated ones and even news ones they had yet to get. So, this church did something so smart with the Rosedale International prayer cards. They had all 29 prayer cards and tape them on their wall. Then, as you feel led, you take one down and take it home to pray about that worker. Then eventually you bring it back and put it back on the wall. I loved that idea so much. I loved helping the little old lady switch them out, her name is Bernice I think.....what if she reads this and I got the name wrong?!?! Welp, I'm fairly confident that was her name.
Moral of the my ramblings is the church visit went really great! I really enjoyed hearing my dad preach. He gave a small devotion after the usual stuff he says about RI. The devotion was really good, even though I have technically heard it before. I loved hearing it again and refreshing my mind. He spoke about the passage Deuteronomy 6:4-9. That is such a good passage and has a great meaning. After my dad shared, the church provided a meal for us which was DELICIOUS! It was just hotdogs and sloppy joe's but still, DELICIOUS! Every time I hear someone say sloppy joe's, I can't help but think of Chris Farley and Adam Sandler on Saturday Night Live singing Lunch Lady Land. Everyone, just go watch it right now. It should make you laugh, well unless you're emotionless. But anyway, sloppy joe's are delicious. For supper, I had leftover Chinese from yesterday but it was still super yummyyyy.
Tonight, we are still in Arizona and it was HOT today. In the RV it was 90 at one point in time. I felt like I was roasting. It cooled off a little while we drove and it has cooled off a ton now. I think I found sufficient stuff to entertain you all with. I will catch you guys next time with more meanderings!
